来月リーグ戦がスタートすると、東京ペタンクリーグ(TPL)は4シーズン目を迎える事となります。昨年度6クラブ参加へと拡張する事ができ、本年度も同じクラブ数での開催となります。6クラブ制は遠征も含むリーグ戦方式と、日程を考慮すると最大数である事が既に判明しております。タイトになりがちな日程を円滑にこなすため、2010年シーズンは１か月前倒し(3月)スタートとし、夏季ブレークであった8月も試合をこなす事と改めました。これにより1ヵ月に2試合しなければならない月が無くなりました。
さらに、キャプテン会議を開催し、各選手は1試合につき、3ゲームまでしか参加できないルール変更を行いました。これにより、より多くのプレーヤーがゲームに参加できるようになるはずです。
春の足音がもうそこまで聞こえている昨今、各クラブはすでに技術アップを試み、来月から始まるリーグ戦に備えております。

When the matches start next month, the Tokyo Petanque League (TPL) will be already in its 4th edition. After a successful league expansion to six teams last year, the new season is going to see the same number of teams this year again. A six team league has proven to be about the limit regarding scheduling and travel concerns. To ease the tight match schedule a bit, the 2010 season will start a month earlier (March) and will also include August. With this schedule adjustment there are not going to be any double-match months this year.
Furthermore, in a captains meeting it was decided that no player can participate in more than 3 games per league match. This change of regulations will make sure that more players can get involved.
